Every time I watch The Snowmen Trailer I feel surprised that we never made anymore fake movie trailers. Making trailers for videos that would never end up coming out isn't new to the channel, but this was supposed to just be a fake trailer for a fake movie. Back around this time when I was like 11, 12, or 13 I had a bit that I was afraid of snowmen and thought that they were alive and also evil. I honestly can't remember if this was something I had decided myself or if I was influenced by Calvin and Hobbes, which I loved (and still do), but either way it led to the creation of this video. This was around the time we were making a bunch of Christmas related videos, just to be in time with the season, which is why I assume we decided to film this when there wasn't any snow outside? I can't vouch much for that cause like really why didn't we just wait for it to snow? Much like a lot of the videos from this time, this was filmed on my iPod touch and edited in the iMovie app, I think we used a like trailer template thing they had? I don't remember exactly, but it's nice that the aspect ratio of this one wasn't a 1:1 square like the other holiday videos that we uploaded. I like this video, I think it's a nice little window of just kids being goofy and having fun - halfway through us filming it our mom had to go to the store and that's why we hop in a car and end up at A.C. Moore near the end. Worked out to find Snowmen though since we couldn't make any outside! We also had NO idea for what the "story" of this fake movie was, so each cut to a new clip was just entirely made up on the spot without really thinking how they all connected. So please, tell me your theories for what you think The Snowmen was really about!
